Idle Turret

Privacy Policy

Idle Turret — published by NZKF LLC
Effective: October 13, 2026

This policy explains what data the Idle Turret game for Android handles, who receives it, and the choices you have. NZKF LLC (Michigan, USA) makes the game and is responsible for the data described here as ours. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean NZKF LLC. Idle Turret is available on Android through Google Play.

The short version

  • Your Google sign-in and a copy of your save are kept in our Firebase cloud database so your progress follows you between devices.
  • Purchases go through Google Play. We never see your payment details.
  • The game shows optional ads from Google AdMob. The AdMob software in the game collects your advertising ID, device information, IP address (and approximate location from it), and ad interactions. Google uses them for ads, measurement and fraud prevention.
  • We don't sell your data for money and we don't add analytics tools of our own. Some US state laws may still count the AdMob data collection as "selling" or "sharing", so this policy treats it that way and explains how to opt out.
  • You can delete your account and cloud save from inside the game at any time.

What we collect ourselves

Google sign-in

The game asks you to sign in with your Google account once, when you first start it. Sign-in runs through Firebase Authentication, a Google service we use. It gives the game your account's user ID and display name. We use them to show who is signed in and to link your cloud save to your account. Firebase Authentication also keeps your Google email address in its account record. The game does not put your email address in your save, and we don't share it with anyone. After that one-time sign-in, the game works offline. You can remove the game's access at any time in your Google account settings.

Your cloud save

Your progress is stored on your device and backed up to our Firebase Cloud Firestore database, so it can follow you between devices. The cloud copy contains:

Our database rules allow your cloud save to be read only by your own signed-in account.

App security check

When the game connects to our database, Firebase App Check uses Google Play Integrity to confirm that the request comes from a genuine copy of the game on a genuine Android device. Google handles the device-integrity check. We receive only a pass-or-fail token, and we use it to protect our database from abuse.

Purchases

Optional in-app purchases (for example, core packs, cosmetic items and the Ad-Free Pass) are handled entirely by Google Play's billing system. We never see or store your payment details. Google gives the game a confirmation that a purchase was made, with a purchase identifier, so the game can deliver what you bought. The game keeps that identifier in your save, as described above.

Email to us

If you email us, including through the in-game FEEDBACK button, we receive your email address, your message, and the game build tag in the subject line. We use them only to reply and to fix problems.

Connection data

Like any online service, Google's servers that run Firebase receive your device's IP address when the game connects. Firebase uses it to provide the service and to protect it.

What we don't collect

We don't add any analytics or crash-reporting tools of our own. The game does not ask for your precise (GPS) location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone. It has no chat and no user-generated content.

Ads by Google AdMob

Idle Turret offers optional rewarded video ads. You can choose to watch one in exchange for an in-game reward, such as a temporary boost, a bigger mine collection, faster research or a free core. No ad ever plays unless you tap to start it, and you can always play without watching ads. The Ad-Free Pass gives you the same rewards without watching an ad.

The ads are provided by Google AdMob, which is run by Google. To have an ad ready, the AdMob software in the game starts when you reach the main menu. It can collect the data below even if you never watch an ad. According to Google, the AdMob software collects:

Google uses this data to show ads (including personalised ads where you allow them), to measure how ads perform, for analytics, and to detect and prevent fraud and invalid ad traffic. The data is encrypted in transit. Where your phone supports them, the AdMob software can also use Android's Privacy Sandbox ad features, such as Topics, which you can manage in your Android settings.

Google's own use of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. To learn more, see how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

EEA, UK and Switzerland

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, before any ad is requested, the game shows a consent message through Google's own consent tool, which is a Google-certified consent management platform. In the message, you choose whether Google and its ad partners may use your data for personalised ads and the other purposes it lists. If you don't consent to personalised ads, you may still see limited or non-personalised ads. To change your choice at any time, open INFO in the game, go to the Help tab, scroll to the Privacy & Terms card, and tap AD PRIVACY. The AD PRIVACY option appears only in regions where Google requires it.

United States

We don't sell your personal information for money. Some US state privacy laws, such as those in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and others, may treat letting an ad network collect data in an app for personalised ads as "selling" or "sharing" personal information, or as "targeted advertising". Because AdMob collects the data described above, you have the right to opt out of that use. Here is how:

Depending on your state, you may also have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy of it, to correct it, and to delete it. Email nzkfllc@gmail.com from the Google account you signed in with, and we will respond within the time your state's law allows (45 days in most states). If we turn down your request, you can reply to ask us to reconsider. We will not treat you differently for using these rights. Data that Google AdMob holds is controlled by Google. You can manage it through the Google tools linked on this page.

Resetting your advertising ID

On most Android phones, open Settings, then Google (or Privacy), then Ads. On Android 12 and later, tap Delete advertising ID. Apps then receive a blank ID instead of yours. On older versions, you can tap Reset advertising ID to get a new one, or turn on Opt out of Ads Personalization. The exact menu names vary by phone maker.

If you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, we rely on these legal bases:

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the use of your personal data. You can also ask for a portable copy of it. To use these rights, email us. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. Google stores data on servers that may be in the United States or other countries.

Who receives data

We don't share your data with anyone else.

How long we keep data

We keep your cloud save and sign-in record until you delete your account, as described below. We keep emails you send us only as long as we need them to help you. Google keeps purchase records and ad data under its own policies.

Deleting your account and data

You can delete your account from inside the game at any time. Open INFO, go to the Help tab, scroll to the Privacy & Terms card, and tap DELETE ACCOUNT. After you confirm, the game immediately and permanently deletes your cloud save from our Firebase database and deletes the Google account link itself (your Firebase user record), and then wipes the game's progress and the stored sign-in details from that device. None of it can be recovered afterwards, by you or by us. You need to be online and signed in for this, because the deletion happens on our database as you tap.

If you would rather not do it in the app, email nzkfllc@gmail.com from the Google account you signed in with, and we will delete your cloud save and account link within 30 days.

Two things are outside what we hold, so deleting your account cannot remove them. Records of purchases you made through Google Play are kept by Google as the seller, and are governed by the Google Privacy Policy — including whatever you already bought, which remains governed by Google Play's own terms and refund policy. Ad data associated with your device's advertising identifier is held by Google AdMob under the same policy; you can reset or delete that identifier in your device's settings, as described above.

Children

Idle Turret is not directed at children under 13, and its target audience is ages 13 and up. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has signed in to the game, email nzkfllc@gmail.com and we will delete that account and its cloud save. If you are under the age of digital consent where you live, play only with a parent or guardian's permission.

Security

Data travels between the game and Google's services over encrypted connections. Our database rules allow each cloud save to be read only by the account it belongs to. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit what we hold to what the game needs.

Changes

Any change to this policy will be posted on this page with a new effective date before it takes effect.
